ABOUT OUR
JOURNEY

Starting June 1, 2019, AJ Johnson will be riding his bike across the country from Vancouver, Canada to Tijuana, Mexico (an approximate total of 1,800 miles) in an effort to raise $20,000 towards education and tuition for trafficked children rescued by Touch A Life. Throughout the approximate 6-week trip, with support from a scout/follow car (fitted with a cartop camper), AJ will explore the various beaches, bluffs, campgrounds, communities, and miles of shoreline along the Pacific Coast. In doing so, he will produce a mix of creative content, including photographs, video, and other experimental short-form digital media.

About AJ

Andrew (AJ) Johnson

Hi, I’m AJ. My sister, Rachel Brown, has been with Touch A Life for 10 years now, and introduced me to the organization & its amazing people circa 2008. I’ve been with the TAL family since then, had the opportunity to travel to Ghana in 2010, and have enjoyed watching & supporting the organization & its kids in their growth over the last decade. As a former soccer player, I fell into cycling after college as a natural means to marry my love for athletics and the outdoors. Currently, I work as a freelance creative – photographer, filmmaker, art director and creative strategist, and in building towards the future, I am always looking for ways to give back! Holler at me!
